Guidance on delivery options asked from me

Hi.

As i do not do US delivery very odten i would need some help to "decode" what i have to deliver if anyone could cime in:

- Pro Res work files

Assuming this is source files

- English CCAP

Titles

- English VI

Not sure what that is

- English OCAP VF

ALso titles but not sure if those are hearing impaired or the CCAP

- HI track

Not sure what that is

- Final Re-wrap

Combining all things here i assume OV and all different VF things

- MPA Blue Card

Also not sure what that is

Closed captions i.e. like subtitles except they are displayed to the viewer via some personalised system (e.g. a display that they have at their seat) rather than put on the screen.

English VI

An extra mono audio track for vision-impaired people. Sometimes called "audio describe". It has a copy of the soundtrack along with a voice describing what is happening (e.g. "a tall man walks into the room")

HI track

Another mono track for hearing-impaired people. This is some mix of the soundtrack with the dialogue emphasised.

MPA Blue Card

I guess this means the MPAA rating card at the start, like this.

Only aditional question i have is:

In DOM i would assume regular subtitles and decriptive i would make like import two subtitle tracks and one with check box mark as closed caption?

In other ords primary subtitle then would be OCAP and with description CCAP, do i undrestand this corectly?

I will dig manual as well abit more.

Yes, you can import two files, and set one to subtitle and one to closed caption. The closed captions have some restrictions (e.g. line length and number of lines) and you can't do effect or font changes etc. because they will probably be displayed on a device which can't handle them.

I wonder if there is any best practices fo wraping such DCP with named items?

In my mind i would make original OV and then additional VF with OCAP CCAP and audio bits and then make
master VF to combine them all.

Would that make any sense or hw would more expereinced people aolve this?

The way MOST commercial studios or mastering facilities would do this is to create the native language as an OV. Then create an OCAP + CCAP VF based on this OV. Some studios/mastering facilities are cautious and create separate VFs for OCAP and CCAP. Pure technically, it is not a problem to have both OCAP and CCAP in a single CPL/VF. Just that some systems may behave strange with such a DCP.
