Error - 101 & "Could Not Find Essence Type"

Does anyone have some insight on this? What happened was a theater owner moved previously working DCPs from a storage device which I delivered the content on, to his PC. He then moved the DCPs on his own flash drive (NTFS, MBR). When I examined the flash drive, somehow several, but not all, the DCP folders were inside folders with the same name. I moved them all out and went one by one attempting to verify them with the DOM Player program. Some of them worked. Many of them returned the pop up in the second image (Could Not Find Essence Type) and one of them returned the pop up in the first image (error - 101).

If you want more info just ask. I'm mostly just curious about how this even happened and I'd like to learn what these issues might indicate for my own education. Thank you!

I guess he simply lost some files while moving the DCPs around.

That's what I was thinking as well. I'm not sure how he managed it. Thankfully he kept the originals where they were and merely copied them.
