installing in debian unstable

hello!

first of all: thanks for this great piece of software. i've been using it frequently and it's great.

now for the reason of my post: recently, i have problems installing the amd64 packages of dcp-o-matic for debian unstable.

if libcurl3 is installed, the downloaded dcpomatic_2.13.83-1_amd64.deb from test-download (the one "download as well") installs, but doesn't execute.
the error is: "dcpomatic2: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libcurl.so.4: version `CURL_OPENSSL_4' not found (required by dcpomatic2)"

if the debian libcurl4 package is installed instead of libcurl3, i get

"dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of dcpomatic:
dcpomatic depends on libcurl3; however:
Package libcurl3 is not installed." when i try to install DCP-o-matic.

if i install libcurl4 and then do a
"dpkg --ignore-depends=libcurl3 -i /usr/local/src/video/dcpomatic_2.13.83-1_amd64.deb"
it installs and works nicely.

so, i suspect there is just a wrong dependency in the debian package (libcurl3 instead of libcurl4)

thanks for your attention
all the best

Hi,

Could you try this package? You might have to uninstall the old one before installing this.

hello

same symptoms with dcpomatic_2.12.13-602b443-1_amd64.deb
it installs and runs only with libcurl4 installed and " --ignore-depends=libcurl3"

all the best

yes. this one installs (and runs) without problems when libcurl4 but not libcurl3 is present.

thanks for your efforts

Great. The release 2.12.14 should also work.
