First time using this software I'm trying to create a DCP file to ingest it in my video projector.
I imported a .mp4 video and went to jobs>make dcp. now I want to create a kdm file
I tried to press make kdms and an error popped out
anyone can help me with this?

I guess you clicked "browse" beside the CPL control and gave it a file?

Did you tick "encrypted" in the DCP tab before you did "make DCP"?

hello, Carl how are you?
as I said this is the first time using this software.
no, I don't think I clicked encrypted in the dcp file!
how can I fix it?
where can I find the encrypted check?

In the "DCP" tab, there is a checkbox for "encrypted". Tick that and re-do the "make dcp" step.

It looks like you have the "simple" interface of DCP-o-matic enabled. Please can you go into Preferences and choose the "full" interface type. Then you should see the encrypted checkbox.

Also, before you create a KDM, you first need to create a cinema and screen for your projector. A KDM is always targeted towards a specific device, and you need to create that first and add your server's certificate to it, before you can create a KDM.
