What error are you seeing? You mean with dom player check? which version?
I think a check on the creator would be great. As 4k starts to be used more often, there could be more of this kind of mismatch, but I don´t know if other encoders will allow this wrong files to be created, as fnord j2k does.

With the latest test version the error is "a picture frame has an invalid JPEG2000 codestream".

Thats great! I never really used the player as for hash check I found easy dcp player simpler. Now its way more useful!

I downloaded your j2c files and I can say that they are not good, not DCI compatible. They have 7 layers of resolution instead of 6.

It is simply not a good idea to encode using other tools that don't care as much for DCP integrity and compliance as DCP-o-matic does.
