Hello world.

I want a short (3 Seconde ) Clip to play before an already created DCP.
Can I embed the Movie somehow with DCP-O-Matic, without rendering the wole DCP again?

I am happy about any attempt of help.

Have a great day
Anton

I'll take a stab at it...

1. Make a DCP of the 3 second clip
2. From your main DCP click <add dcp> to add your 3 second clip
3. Now make a new DCP from the main DCP which won't take too much time ...
(make sure that the added DCP [your 3 sec clip] is displayed first on that box where files are listed)

Good luck! ... let us know if it works.

Ciao Ron.

Thanks for your reply.
It worked.
It took about 1 hour to build the new DCP, what is fast compared to around 6 hours it would have taken, making the DCP from a PRORES.

P.S.
But now I have some copying issues. I thought it was because of my computers, but yesterday the cinema called me and complaint they could not ingest
the DCP from the harddrive (via usb3).

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Anton

Use DCP-o-matic player (2.16.x), load the DCP you created from the transfer drive, perform validation. This will take a while over USB, but will confirm wether the transfer drive is technically correct. What format did you use for the drive?

It was a defect harddrive.
Putting the OV and the VF side by side on top of the drive did the job.
