In versions 2.16.30, 2.16.31 and 2.17.3 under MacOS 12.5.1 and Ubuntu 22.04 the option "none" in audio processor is gone !
How should 5.1 and 7.1 sources be encoded now ?

Yeah, looks like a bug. The Mid/Side Decoder can not be deselected. It CAN be deselected/set to 'None' if 'Show experimental audio processors' is ticked in advanced prefs, so, that's a workaround for now.

edit: Ah, no, it's more complicated. Changing the 'Show experimental audio processor' setting back and forth allows to select 'None' only once. The moment you reload the project, 'None' is gone again. Weird.

Should be fixed in 2.16.32 (and probably 2.17.4). https://dcpomatic.com/mantis/view.php?id=2360

I can also confirm that going back and forth worked for me too. Thank you

How do I upmix Stereo to 5.1? AS described in guide: Stereo to 5.1 up-mixer A; this will take a stereo input and up-mix it to ‘fake’ 5.1.

I only see Mid- Side decoder option. or am I looking in the wrong place ?

For that you need to tick "show experimental audio processors" in the advanced tab of preferences.
