DCP Subtitles Playback Error
Posted: Fri Aug 30, 2024 10:38 pm
I have a feature DCP that when played on 2 sites out of 144 has failed to show the subtitles on the screen.
One particular site was able to send me this error message from the projector logs.
The subtitle file has the following and the file's encoding is UTF-8 itself
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<DCSubtitle Version="1.0"><SubtitleID>d42097b4-cfde-42c9-aad1-a7062e99604a</SubtitleID><MovieTitle>TITLE</MovieTitle><ReelNumber>2</ReelNumber><Language>Unknown</Language><Font AspectAdjust="1.0" Color="FFFFFFFF" Effect="border" EffectColor="FF000000" Id="Arial" Italic="no" Script="normal" Size="42" Underlined="no" Weight="normal">
Apart from this, I do not see a arial.ttf file packaged in this DCP. Shouldn't that file be present in the subtitles folder and a part of PKL? Could this be
what is causing the issue here?
If yes then why does it work on most sites? This is an NC900C projector.
Kindly guide.
