Summary 0001513: When creating ISDCF name, parse the film name only until the first underscore
Revision 2019-03-27 12:37 by Carsten
Description

When naming a CPL and after choosing 'Copy as Name' and then reverting to 'Create ISDCF name', DCP-o-matic reuses part of the ISDCF name, creating unneccesary complex titles. Yes, of course, users with some experience may edit manually. But I guess many at that point will not understand the difference between the entry field and the actual CPL name below. I have seen some DCPs created under this assumption, with some of the ISDCF naming tags repeated in the film title.

Maybe, when 'Use ISDC name' is clicked, always parse the existing string in the name field only until the first underscore. I guess that will prevent this in a simple way, as underscores should never be part of a title.
