Summary0001284: Feature request: command line option to provide path to config.xml
Description

I am scripting dcpomatic2_create and dcpomatic2_cli to run in the background on machines on which users also use the GUI DCP-o-matic.

It would be useful to be able to specify the config.xml to use in the command lines.

3 use cases:

  1. Ensure that the scripted jobs run as expected, even if a user alters the preferences in DCP-o-matic GUI
  2. Enable scripting some options which are only available via config e.g. log level
  3. Make it easier to have DOM v2.10.5 and v2.12.x co-habiting on a system

Added to 04badd0c82d3ce82ee87c07e120e585899d4acff which will be in 2.13.19. Thanks!

The option is --config.

Carl - stupid question - config.xml stores the information where e.g. cinema.xml is located.
When the config.xml file location is changed - where is THAT information stored for the different OSs?

@Carsten: a small config.xml is left in the old location which points to the new location...
