Description

You're really going fast now, Carl, and meeting the needs (expressed here) seems to be your only purpose !

"You were dreaming of it, Carl did it !"

I have not tested all the new features yet but I will and I'll report possible problems here if needed.

About UI in this new version:

I use either Ubuntu (12.04) or Windows 7 (64 bits) when I am obliged.
So I first downloaded Ubuntu version. And I Just noticed on a classic Laptop (I know it is not the best place to create DCPs and I have other computers to do so), there are some (very little) problems with the UI: not enough space to correctly show everthing... (a Picture is attached to this post)
I don't know if it is the same on windows and you may find it is just a little thing but when I see how your software is becoming perfect, I believe it should look perfect as well ! Shouldn't it?

Seriously, if all features works without bugs, DVD O MATIC is very close to be perfect for what it aims, now. May be you should start thinking about selling it for more money than than well known commercial softwares that don't do so much!

I'm joking but I wouldn't be spiteful if you'd do so!

PS: Don't kill me! I swear! I was just joking! I believe in Open Source ! I'm a believer !

Hi Carl,
I made first tests yesterday and everything seems to correctly work.

About UI stuff:
The problems of UI reported in ubuntu is less visible on windows 7. Even if there is also too much lost space at the bottom of the interface (esthetical point of view! of course) Another thing: when in full screen, the UI is ok but when you are not, you have to resize window if you want to read what it is written... details, of course.

About new features:
really great, the new sound level inspector is exactly what I was thinking about and using audio gain to see in real time modified shapes is very useful. And it seems to work in theaters to get the right level. Really good, simple and useful tool.

DCP frame rate options are also perfect. You couldn't do better. Simple, useful, efficient. Perfect. The way sound is handled to be adapted to new length is great. Of course, DVD O MATIC could use other algorythms to change sound speed without changing height (just like "tempo" filter in audacity) but it would be too much... cause, actually, for more than 1 fps sound speed change, quality results of this kind of filter is not so good.

So, to conclude : really great.
