Description

Only in some cases results in empty Channels 1 & 2 and ONLY sound in Ch3- have not been able to dertermine why only happens some times- but problem occurs with prores mov file - audio analysis works but after DCP creation the audio is only in Ch3 - have verified by bringing files into Audacity and verifying stereo audio file in MOV file creating from

additional notes- I am realizing that the mid-side decode is ADDING ch 1+2 for C with no gain change- resulting in clipped output - in previous version you could apply -6db gain - not seeing how to do this with the "mid side decode" function- also, why if clipping on channel 3 does it drop 1 and 2 and insert what i think is original track 1 into clipped track 3? Curious

And if not clear form my last note- that is how to replicate the problem- use tracks where mid-side decode will create significant clipping

Hi, thanks for the report. There should be a 6dB cut on C, so the M/S decoder should not clip if the input does not clip.

Can you send any example files that cause the problem?

One reason for channel only on C would be a source file that has the same thing on both L and R... M/S would "decode" that to signal on C with nothing on L nor R.
