Summary0000966: IPhone films 180 rotated
Description

When shoting photos or film with the lens down on the rigt side
instead of up on the left side 'normal' position,
Qicktime, VLC 2.2.4 and iPhones detect this position in the metadata of the recorded images and automatically 180° counter-rotate the projected images.
But DCP-o-matic 2.9.0, Hanbrake 0.10.5 nor QtAv 1.11 feature that auto-correction

Handbrake finally added a manual correction two weeks ago
but still not the automatic one (which is mandatory ;)

Similar-sounding problem reported on 9/12/2017; a whatsapp video that was 90 degrees out.

warning, almost all cameras but not all, now tag the orientation matadata.

While FFmpeg offers the autorotate function for years, and Libav till Oct 2016 (v12a),
it still is not implemented on the current Handbrake v1.07.
Out of curiosity, have a look at HB issue 0000988 on github : "Auto-rotate video that has rotation tag".
