Hi
with all new codecs coming out for 4k, it would be great to have those supported in dcpomatic. I have two of them in mind :
- Cineform : 16bit 444 encoding, really good quality in 2k and 4k, a very good format for master before make the dcp
- DNxHR444 : 12bits 444, we will never have prores on windows so it's our way to go for 4k master
i have try both in dcpomatic, it result an error: pixel format for video non determined

Re: Adding new codec support to dcpomatic
Hi,
DCP-o-matic depends on the FFmpeg project for all its video decoding. I think some support for DNxHR is in there, but Cineform I believe is not ready yet. I will soon release a version of DCP-o-matic with the latest FFmpeg release so that we can test our DNxHD and DNxHR.

Hi, perhaps you could try version 2.7.4 from here:
https://dcpomatic.com/test-download
and let me know if your DNxHR444 files work with it?
