Supplemental DCP not loading !!!

Hello ,

I have a original DCP and a (VF) Version DCP. Firstly I ingested (VF)Version DCP, right clicked it and gave path to original DCP. But it did not work. Am I doing something wrong ? Is this the correct way of ingesting VF Dcps ?

'Where' did you right click the VF? On a DCI compliant server? I don't know any DCI server that would assign a VF to an OV by rightclicking on it. You just ingest both OV and VF and let the server relate both on it's own.

Or did you try to load both DCPs/CPLs in DCP-o-matic? Can you show us a screen shot?


The term 'ingest' is better used only for the the copy process of a DCP onto a DCI compliant server. Loading a DCP into DCP-o-matic is not an ingest process.

Okay, did you receive a warning or error message? Are you sure these DCPs are unencrypted?

Typically, DCP-o-matic will want you to assign the folder where the DCP resides.

Maybe as a test, you could try DCP-o-matic player to load VF and assign OV. The procedure is similar there, but not exactly the same.

Yes the DCP is Encrypted.
part 01 works fine. (loading, assigning it to OV and final applying KDM.)
But unable to load part 02.
Added 2 images one of the actual error and secondly folders i have received from them.

There seems to be that file missing. I see two OV parts, but only one VF? Looks as if that DCP is just broken/ has missing files. There must be a VF for the second part. Unless the VF is only meant to correct something in the first Part, and the second part should play as is. Can you show us the KDM files in the KDM folder?

Sorry for this post. It seems there was some error from clients side while copying the DCPS and thats why it was not working. It worked fine after the client Recopied the DCPs.
