What version and operating system? When you click the Timeline button?

Re: crashing when selecting timeline
Hello
Did you find a solution for this problem?
The same happens to me. When selecting timeline DCP-o-matic crashes.
DCP-o-matic 2.16.59
OSX 13.4.
I use one DCP with multiple files for an advertisement reel. Periodically I change some files. In previous versions the files used to snap together automatically. Not any longer, so I go into the timeline and snap them together manually. Now DCP-o-matic crashes instantly when I click the timeline button.
I think it started after changing to an new mac using migration from timemachine backup.
Thanks for any help. (automatic snap would be be great)
Best Jonny

Re: crashing when selecting timeline
Maybe you could try to trash your DCP-o-matic prefs? Better not trash, but ZIP/Compress the prefs folder in your user library, then delete the folder. Then start from scratch and check if the problem persists. If it happens with a fresh install/new prefs, it is probably an OS related bug.

Re: crashing when selecting timeline
In the timeline is the right-most tool selected ("keep video and subtitles in sequence")?
Do you get an Apple crash report with the crash? If so, could you attach it or send it to carl@dcpomatic.com ?

Hey Carl and Carsten
Sorry for my late reply but I was out of office...
Carsten. Your suggestions helped. After zipping the prefs I made a new installation and now I can select Timeline without instant crashing.
Carl. I also understood the selection of the snap tool
Thanks alot.
Jonny

Re: crashing when selecting timeline
Hi Carsten, Hi Carl
After updating to 2.16.62 I have the same problem again with dcp-o-matic crashing when selecting "timeline"
Deleting the preferences didn't work this time.
I sent the apple report to Carl.
Thanks for helping
Jonny

Re: crashing when selecting timeline
Hi, thanks for sending the crash report. There are two different downloads of DCP-o-matic for macOS - one for 10.8 and 10.9 (Mountain Lion / Mavericks) and one for all newer versions. It looks like you are running the old DCP-o-matic on Ventura - please could you try again with the version for 10.10 and higher?
