Why is there no LFE channel in the IMAX audio channel mapping table, both 6 Track and 12 Track?

Anything and everything to do with DCP-o-matic.

IMAX does not use a separate LFE channel, as all LFE speaker signals are derived from the other channels via so called 'bass management'.

Can DOM add 12track sound for playback in IMAX theaters?

DCP-o-matic can add 12 audio tracks that follow IMAX track order, however, I have no idea wether standard DCPs will activate IMAX' 12ch sound system properly. Real IMAX DCPs are mastered by special IMAX facilities. That is, real Laser-IMAX DCPs are a special breed.
