I'll be doing another dcp master for a film that has been previously mastered before, but this time it will be encrypted.
I told the client we have to go through the process of mastering the film again from their dpx matls and our 5.1 audio. But my coordinator suggests we just do a "reversal" so it's faster. Question is what does this mean. Is there a way to reverse these dcps faster than going through the encoding process again? Is dcp o matic capable?

Re: DCP reversal
I'm not sure what they mean by "reversal" but you can create an encrypted version of your DCP without re-encoding it. Just import it into DCP-o-matic ("Add folder") then tick "Encrypted" in the DCP tab and make DCP. This should give you a bit-for-bit identical DCP except that it is encrypted.
