Let's see what happens - I still vor for Paragon being guilty here. It may even be that a DCP is correct on the ext2/3 drive, but will fail during reading by the player. File system drivers can cause all sorts of things.

On a side note - NTFS will work everywhere. I'd still prefer ext2/3 as the official standard, but, if you have urgent jobs, and ext2/3 is not reliable, then use NTFS. It is very important though that you stick to all other ISDCF hard drive recommendations - explicitly, max disc size 2TB, MBR partition table, only one/primary partition. Especially, no GUID/GPT partition tables - they are created by default by most current operating systems, so beware!

Thank you, Carsten. I still found an update for my Paragon extFS program. Its still working on an 18 minutes DCP and I have formatted an external drive with this new update (was hard to find).
I´ll think about NTFS if there is no other way.

Unfortunately no change with the new update... DCP not readable from an external extFS drive.

After some investigations it looks (so far) like a straight copy of a ~1Gb file from local drive to ext2 drive is being corrupted. pontorosso is going to ask their tech support for ideas...

So, again, either Paragon, or a bad USB bridge/driver? How many different discs would he have to try?

I am confident that nightmare is gone once he switches to Tuxera NTFS.
