Hello,
I just wanted to make sure SMPTE RDD52 (Free to download from SMPTE) is on the radar for DCP-O-Matic developers.
RDD52 bing a set of DCP constraints that ensure a DCP will play in as many DCI-players as possible in the world.
If DCP-O-Matic adopted the recommendations in RDD52, it would go a long way to dispelling that DCP-O-Matic is not just as good as many commercial products in many ways.
Clairmeta, a python tool is implementing some of its recommendations. Maybe Clairmeta can be incorporated into DCP-O-Matic (But a python interpret would have to come with it), or some of the checking code can be adopted to DCP-O-Matic.

Thanks,
James

Re: Clairmeta and SMPTE RDD52
Hi Jamie,
Thanks for your message. It's in the tracker and I hope to get everything done for the next "stable" release 2.16.0.
This bug has a bunch of "child" bugs to add the things that are missing.
