Hello,
I have a question concerning the DCP-o-matic player.
Is this program managing color spaces?
When reading a DCP, is it converting the DCI space to a proper space for viewing on a computer screen (srgb or Rec709)?
Does it also manage gammas or does it keep the DCP gamma 2.6?
Thank you for your help!

Re: DCP-o-matic player - Color Space?
I don't know the correct formula, but I guess it uses an X'Y'Z' to sRGB conversion with a 2.2 gamma. One could argue wether it should use BT.1886/gamma 2.4, but that depends on wether your intention is basic checking on a computer monitor, or playback in a (home) cinema environment. Maybe at some time Carl should make this a prefs option. But, so far the player is not meant for primetime presentation, although some use it that way already.

Re: DCP-o-matic player - Color Space?
The player converts the colour space and gamma, so it should look approximately right on the computer screen. Though this is a rather complicated area, and the emphasis so far has been on speed rather than colour accuracy. Improving this is on the post-2.16.0 list.
