Hi --
I know it's been said not to put extraneous files on the (ext2 formatted, compliant) DCP (thumb, USB or CRU) drive. However, I wonder if anyone has had practical experience with this, with servers, with DCP drives containing extra files arriving in the projection booth -- and if any problems ever surfaced? I'm asking because I'd like to keep drive-copy checksums and qc reports (pdfs with the DCP name plus extension) in a quality checks subdirectory, to accompany each drive. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance....

Re: Extra files on DCP drive
I've ingested a drive that had both a DCP and the decryption keys on it. Server didn't have an issue with it.

Re: Extra files on DCP drive
You can have extra files on DCP discs. No server has problems with that. But certain types of files or folder structures (e.g. image series) may take unnecessary long for the server to browse. Some extra plain files with checksums or reports are no problem.
Doremis e.g. allow to install software upgrades from distributions disks.
