Thanks. That is indeed totally different! It looks like there's some stretch going on somewhere...

I'll look at it as soon as I can, but it might not happen for a week or two.

Comments:

Interesting:
VLC doesn't seem to resolve Helvetica Neue as well as Aegisub, looks more like Helvetica to my eyes.

On the other hand...
VLC seems to resolve Arial Black closer to Aegisub's...

Draw your own conclusions...
One thing though, DoM's font needs to be a little smaller.

Test: DCP-o-matic 2.16.19 git ddc48862d1

- Fonts look overall larger than source
- Vertical Center is a little higher on DCP playback
- Margins are correct

Weird:
I went back to the check something on the existing DCP test I did last night and the preview looked all scrambled but the DCP playback looked right.
(sorry: I mistakenly opened DCP using [DoM 2.16.17]... that's why some of the text were all scrambled.

PS.
I haven't been able to check outline/shadow because of black video...

Test release: 2.16.19

Testing ASS subtitle file format with screenshots of DoM player, Aegisub and VLC player.
Here are my observations:

- Font displays larger on DoM
- Line spacing is not consistent
- Outline/Shadow formatting not imported
