Hey guys,
I'd need a fluent playback if my DCPs on my new 4K Editing machine, which is vey slow at the moment most probably due to the fact, that i am using only Intel HD Graphics on an ASUS PRIME Z390-P. Together with an i9 9900K CPU it's fine for Editing. I assume though, when it comes to DCP Playback, 2 differnet Graphic devices are needed. One for the Rendering and one for display.
If possible i would use a Blackmagic 4K Monitor Decklink Card for Display, as this would also be useful for Editing and it supports HD SDI Output.
Or do i need a additional graphic card?
Thanks a lot for your answers,
Tobi

Re: Smooth Playback
Hi Tobi,
With current DCP-o-matic the decoding is all done on the CPU so your graphics card probably won't make much difference.
In the not too distant future I hope to use OpenGL for rendering the images and CUDA to accelerate decoding, but nothing like that is happening with current versions.

Re: Smooth Playback
