Hi there! I've created two DCPs from the same file.
DCP 1 was made in version 2.14.56, letterboxed in a flat container, Interop.
DCP 2 was made in version 2.16.5, cropped in a scope container, SMPTE.
I believe these were the only differences, but DCP 2 looks washed out when played in the player. DCP 1, in contrast, looks great. Unfortunately I have no way to test the file out in a cinema. I'm hoping there's a difference in the way the player is playing them back, rather than the files themselves? Any ideas? Thanks!

Is it possible to make a clip of the source file you are using and to send it to me? carl@dcpomatic.com

Re: Black Levels Changing
Did you use the same project file, that is, first created in 2.14.56, then afterwards loaded the same file into 2.16.5?

This is a very good question ... 2.16.x handles video range in a more correct way (in theory) but it looks like something goes wrong when reading in the 2.14.x file.Did you use the same project file, that is, first created in 2.14.56, then afterwards loaded the same file into 2.16.5?
I can see the difference when loading the 2.14.x project into 2.16.x but not when creating a new 2.16.x project with the same source file.
I'll look into this as soon as I can... here's a bug in the tracker.

Oh, excellent. So in the meantime I can re-build the project from scratch and that should solve my problem.
Thanks, guys! I'm really grateful to be able to use this program.
