Closed Captioning

Post by randomdot »

Is there a way to add Closed Captioning to the file? Something to be read by the DoReMi Captive view.

Thanks

I guess not now, but maybe Carl can add it. I guess it would go through the same process as subtitles and would only need to be wrapped and flagged as CCAPs and not subtitles, so it is possible it's not too complicated.

Do you have any small DCPs with closed captioning that you can share with me? Or are there any downloadable on the internet anywhere?

Theres one guy from USL.inc busy on the ISDCF mailing list dealing with CCAPs, standards, etc. He may be able to supply an unencrypted CCAPed DCP.

I'll ask him.

I only get full movie files once in a while form the studios. I've never been able to get a small test file.
