Hello everyone on this community.
Question about DVR workflow and DOM.
When I grade without an external monitor, I've been setting my timeline to Rec 709-A to fix the 2.4 Gamma bug on DVR, which shows a darker image on the viewer. Then I render it ProRes 4444 with gamma and color tag set to "Rec 709". However, after that I`m not sure if the color input on DOM should be Rec709 or Rec1886. I don't have a partnership with a cinema room to run this tests. So I`d be very glad if anyone could help. I also tried to look for this info on the blackmagic forum, but didn't find, or maybe I'm just missing out something obvious.
Anyways, thanks again.

The difference between 2.2 and 2.4 is not too big, but noticeable, and sometime very noticeable with certain footage. The question also is, did you grade on a calibrated display?
I can only guess, I would think that using 2.4 in DCP-o-matic should be the right choice for a DVR workflow. Are you sure you can't create a short snippet, put it on a USB stick and ask some projectionist for a quick test?
