Rename CPL MXF in DOM DCP Same as Clipster DCI 6

Post by RAY-NUE »

Can we change the name of the CPL MXF in the package? Do we need to change the Path and OriginalFileName to match the name we changed? Same as the DCP from Clipster DCI 6 machine.

And were you able to ingest and play that package on a DCI server?

DCP-o-matic Editor can do this the proper way.

I checked compliant with CineInspect in Dolby CineAsset Player and it passed.

I just found out that DOM Editor can rename files in packages. Thank you very much.

DOM Editor cannot rename the reel. When I press Save, it still has the original name. Or do I have to rename the file as well?

I used the method of renaming the MXF file and then changing the file name in the code to match(ASSETMAP / PKL). It worked.

DOM Editor is not working properly!!

Again - have you ingested one of these DCPs into a real DCI server? Manually editing the XML files will break DCI validation.

Not yet. The test will be tomorrow, August 7th. There is still time to fix it because the actual show will be on August 10th-12th.

The only reason usually to edit an existing DCP is to adjust a bad or misleading CPL title/name. That is the only thing a DCI server will display to the operator. No server exposes MXF file names.
