Only Flat or Scope versions for DCP creating

Post by martinsender »

Hi there!
I'm a little bit new with this DCP world, but I was wondering if it is OK that DCP o Matic for Windows 10, 2.16.91 version, offers me Flat or Scope versions for 2k and 4K Dcps.

2K Full (1.90:1) Resolution: 2048x1080, its not a standard DCP Format? this is not possible with DCP o Matic?

It is not a standard DCP format, no. Used mainly for test patterns. Following the ISDCF proposal, production houses are letterboxing aspect ratios between 1,85:1 and 2,30:1 on Flat. One can find some 2,2:1 on Scope, though.

You can go to preferences and allow non-conventional aspect ratios, if you don't mind best practices. The subject did come up inside the forum in the past.
