Hello everybody,
Before all, thank you so much for this wonderful software !
I encountered a error message with the DCP-o-Matic player on a DCP I just made :
"The subtitle asset sub_19618ed4-dd68-4a30-91ef-e3903d44b379.mxf contains no <Language> tag."
The message appear with a additional VF version of the DCP (I don't have it with the main subtitle VF DCP).
In DCP-o-Matic, I selected the language and everything, the only difference is the setting "main" and "additional" that changer between the two VF.
I tried to do this same VF but putting the setting in "main", and this time I don't have the error.
My question are :
- Should I keep my additional in "main" anyway ? I mean by that that any open subtitles version should be set in main?
- Will it create problem for the projection if I keep the VF version that give me this warning?
Thank you !
No language tag in subtitle with the additional setting on

Re: No language tag in subtitle with the additional setting on
You mean you created two subtitled VFs, and in one, you set subtitle language 'main', and in the second VF 'additional'? That is not correct or necessary, in any CPL, be it OV or VF, you should always set the primary subtitle language as main.
Honestly, I don't understand the use case for 'Additional' subtitles as open captions.

Hello,
Thanks a lot for your reply,
This is exactly what I did!
Ok so I should keep always the setting set on "main". Noted ! Thanks a lot. I thought that additional was there for additional versions (it is my first time using the software).
Thanks again for the answer !

VFs do not know about each other on the cinema server. They relate to an OV only. So it doesn't matter wether there are multiple subtitled VFs with language indicator 'main subtitle'.
