I made this small subtitle file just for testing. Some words have been marked-up as italics:
1
00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:09,000
Testing is <i>really</i> fun!
This is the <i>second</i> line!
Importing the .srt-file into DOM produces the expected result:
Testing is really fun!
This is the second line!
However, if I save the file as D-Cinema SMPTE 2010 in Subtitle Edit, and use that .xml file in DOM, the resulting subtitle will now have its words in the wrong order!
Testing is fun! really
This is the line! second

Re: Subtitles getting mixed up
Yes, it works fine in 2.9.20 !
Once again, thank you Carl! You've done some real wizardry for subtitles over the last few weeks.

Re: Subtitles getting mixed up
New test with the same subtitle file as before and DOM 2.9.21. Just one single subtitle:
1
00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:09,000
Testing is <i>really</i> fun!
This is the <i>second</i> line!
This time I created the DCP with soft subtitles ("Burn subtitles..." unchecked).
Here's the result, as rendered by easyDCP player:
Examination of the produced mxf-file reveals the following. That single subtitle has now "magically" been turned into no less than 5 separate subtitles. No wonder that the words overlap on the screen!
