Changing Existing Encrypted Projects

Post by Aswippe Johnson »

I made an encrypted DCP with DOM, but the soundtrack is too quiet. If I reopen the project and replace the track with a louder version, and then make another DCP - using the same encryption key I used to make the first DCP - will the KDMs I made for the first DCP still work on the new one?

If you only adjusted the audio track and reused the same project/metadata, then yes. DOM will reuse the existing J2k video MXF (encrypted or not) and only recreate the audio track.

You can always test wether KDMs are working for your encrypted DCP by loading it into DOM after having created a KDM with your DOM certifikate.
