Summary0002436: latest libsub version set to b1.16.41 while dcpomatic is expecting 1.16.13 - dcpomatic waf config fails
Description

I tried building on Ubuntu 22.04. All dependencies were fine except I couldn't build dcpomatic
without adding a b to wscript file

Sorry, those required versions are indeed rather out of date! I fixed that locally. I also uploaded libsub 1.6.42 which should fix the error you are seeing.

Thanks,. I don't see any libsub changes - should this also be modified to remove the letter b from the version ?

I thought that was fixed in 1.6.42 - it's a problem caused by confusion between byte and UTF-8 string literals. Do you still see if after building and installing libsub 1.6.42?
