| Description | There are some recent reports of crashes on app start when no audio interface is present in the system. If I remember right, audio preview now defaults to be active, so this may add to the issue. I thought this issue was solved a while ago when this first turned up on the forum? As a workaround, I guess it's possible to disable audio preview in config manually? I don't have a system without sound device to test...

Actually I can see how this could happen. Speculative fix coming up in 2.13.11 which I can backport to 2.12.x if it works. |

Hmm. Is that a different bug? I just tested this on my windows notebook, after I remembered I already translated a hint towards missing audio hardware a while ago... Actually, missing sound interface fix was already in late 2.11. versions. When I disable my soundcard driver in Win7, I get this warning on app start, but other than this, no problem. So was there a different condition to catch in 2.12.x?
