Summary0001837: Consider integrating the batch converter into the main app
Description

Particularly on macOS it's confusing that you have to download a separate .app. At least, the message "could not find batch converter" should say "please download the batch converter". But that point you might ask yourself "why is it separate?"

I would dislike the integration of the batch converter into the main up if this could lead to batch crashes when the main app is closed or crashes itself. For example during prep of additional movies.

It's a good point. Perhaps it just needs to be integrated better on macOS. It is (or at least should be) fairly slick on Windows / Linux.

The error messages are a bit clearer on macOS in d0be7e3154fccdf3f2de330d9cf200e01a9f4270; I'm persuaded by the "not crashing" argument! :)
