I have been trying to make a dcp for the first time for a few days now, and it always prompts this message as i set everything up and choose "Make DCP".
I'm using, as the original archive, an h.264 copy, i dont know if that is the right way to do it, but as ive payed people before to make a dcp, i sent them the h.264 file, and they did it and it worked, so i dont think thats the problem.
Actually, the same config for the h.264 file (exported from Resolve) im using right now to make the dcp was used to make another one and it worked, so i must be doing something wrong.
sorry for any inaccuracies, this is my first time messing with these things...

Hello, are you using Windows or macOS?
Where did you store your project folder? On the local hard drive, or somewhere else?

I'm using Windows, and i'm using a folder inside the 'documents' folder, in the computer's own hard drive.

There must be a file size issue, or insufficient user rights problem in that folder. Or you may use a file-sharing/cloud storage service like DropBox, Google Drive, OneDrive etc. syncing that folder.
Do you get that message right after you click 'Make DCP', or only after a while?
I suggest you use a different directory for your project and try again.

Re: Error -13 COULD NOT OPEN AUDIO MXF FOR WRITING
I tried doing it in three different computers, so it has to be something with the video file. It doesn't even show the "examining audio" message, so something must be wrong with the file, but i've re-exported it a bunch of times from Resolve, tried it in h.265, changed the.mp4 to .mkv or .mov, nothing changes it.
And I've actually tried other videos, and it sends the same message.

Perhaps you could send the log file from one of the failing projects to carl@dcpomatic.com

Can you please try downloading one of the 'official' benchmark movies and tell us wether this works:
http://peach.themazzone.com/durian/movi ... rround.mp4
When you add your movie to the DCP-o-matic project, does the video show in the preview window, and if you hit 'Play', does it play with audio?

Re: Error -13 COULD NOT OPEN AUDIO MXF FOR WRITING
I downloaded an older version and for some reason it worked! I didn't show up any messages of errors.
I'll download the error log and send it to the email, so that we can figure out why the most recent version isnt working
But I have another question: having the DCP made and tested (and working), to put it on a flash-drive, should I just format it (the flash drive) normally to NFTS and just put the folder on the pen-drive?
I've been racking my brains trying to understand how would I format the flash-drive to ext2 or ext3 but the guy from the movie theater said the projector also accepts NFTS.
In that case, I should just copy the folder to recently formatted flash drive?

It's true, NTFS works on all servers. Just make sure it really is NTFS and not FAT32 or exFAT.
https://dcpomatic.com/manual/html/ch14.html
You need to copy the DCP folder WITHIN your project folder. Most servers would simply ignore the rest of the project folder files if they get copied on to the distribution drive, but some may choke on it or take longer than necessary to detect the DCP. So, copy JUST the DCP.
