I use Mac OS 15.2.
No problem creating a DCP with open subtitles burned in, but it appears that if I try to create a DCP with open subtitles embedded but not burned in, they are not visible in the player.
I have also noticed that the problem occurs in DCPs I made with earlier versions of DCP-o-Matic: I was able to see open subtitles in the player, not anymore. And the CPL menu does not connect to any CPL -- which used to, if I remember correctly.
Instead of the default unidentified font, I use Helvetica Neue to format my subtitles. So far, it never had any problems.
I suspect that the new security measures introduced by Apple in the latest Sequoia update may have affected your software somewhat. It is identified as malware as soon as I try to open it. I ask the system to accept the software as genuine and it has access to my hard disk, but I think that the fonts may have become inaccessible. Just a thought.
What can I send you to investigate the issue?
Open subtitles are acquired but do not show in DCP-o-Matic Player

Thanks for the note - that looks like a (bad) bug...
I'll fix it as soon as I can.

Can you show me a screenshot of what it's saying about being malware?I suspect that the new security measures introduced by Apple in the latest Sequoia update may have affected your software somewhat. Sure, it appears with each of the apps in your set.
To override it, I have to go to the Privacy & Security System Setting, click on the button you see in another screenshot and confirm the opening with another button and my root password.
And fortunately I do not have to deactivate a bomb!

These messages are with 2.18.6? And you downloaded from dcpomatic.com ?
Just to be clear, these things should not be necessary as the applications are supposed to be notarized by Apple.

Thanks. Looking at 2.18.6 it does look like something fishy is going on with the notarisation. It's a nightmare.

I feel your frustration. Lately I feel like Apple is becoming worse than Microsoft when it comes to safe computing.

Having said that, I think on this occasion it is my fault

But we won't tell anyone, will we?
