In 2.12.3 OS X Sierra, it does appear, but only for the checkbox for video content, not for audio and subtitles. I am not sure though, wether it ever appeared there before.

Hmm. The tooltip is an elegant way to do this. Too bad it can disabled unwittingly in WIN10. I understand labels are a way to circumvent this - what I don't like is that now we have a statement in a prominent place in the GUI saying 'something doesn't work' - even if people don't want to create OV/VF... I also understand, while the tooltip was elegant, it escaped many users. Maybe we should think this over.

Should be OK now. The hint only appears if it needs to (otherwise it's hidden). |
